Film Fleet joined in again for our 5th year in support of Austin non-profit, SCARE for a CURE.

A little about the organization:

"Born out of the ashes of legendary haunts Britannia Manor and Haunted Trails and raised from the infamous backyard haunt of local celebrity Jarrett Crippen, a.k.a. The Defuser, SCARE for a CURE‘s talented, creative and fiendish crew of special effects artists, set builders, audio and lighting techs, costume designers, make up artists and actors work year-round alongside volunteers from community organizations throughout Central Texas to build the haunt bigger and better each year." -from the SCARE website.

We are so proud to be part of such a great effort to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.

Book People Literary Camp – Camp Half Blood
24 August 2012

We had the chance this summer to donate to an awesome Austin cause - the Book People Literary Camp - Camp Half Blood.

Topher Bradfield, Children’s Outreach Coordinator and Camp Director for BookPeople the largest independent bookstore in Texas, began Camp Half-Blood in the summer of 2006 after having a group of enthusiastic Percy Jackson fans ask me, “Wouldn’t it be cool to go to Camp Half-Blood for real?

Film Fleet applauds the effort to keep kids interested in reading and is proud to have assisted in briging these Rick Riordan’s books to life. We're looking forward to next summer!
